The fast crank lifting system is suitable for double-stroke telescoping table frames that have either one or two legs. The table can easily be cranked up and down, even with a weight load of up to 40 kg. While other systems work with spring packs or counterbalances, the Ketterer system is self-locking, i.e., it stays put regardless of the respective weight load. A special bonus: The system is available separately without a frame and is custom-made to meet the customer’s needs and specifications.

The exterior mirror can be completely extended or retracted from inside the vehicle in just six seconds by pressing a button – and with a very low noise level. Just a few meters from Zurich’s main railway station is one of the most state-of-the-art destinations in the city. This area around the former Löwenbräu brewery known as the Löwenbräu-Areal is nestled below the towering complex of a 70-meter residential high-rise that is exceptionally bold in terms of both form and dimensions.
The modern architecture here called for a completely new kind of window closing system. Rather like a garage door, windows open all the way and are fully automatically raised to be parallel to the ceiling. The idea for this unique closing system presented a great challenge when it came to the technical implementation. With windows of three by three metres in size, the mechanisms need to be able to withstand huge loads. The sophisticated interplay between the lifting and tilting functions was made possible by deploying Ketterer spindle and mechanical transmission solutions. Due to the compact design of Ketterer drives, this window closing system is able to fully accommodate the demands of modern architecture.

Ketterer has developed a special transmission unit for just this application. Two space-saving, maintenance-free motorised transmissions are integrated in a guide track. This allows the position of the glass screen to be adjusted simply and quietly. The guide track is bent slightly forwards. This guarantees that the glass screen forms a secure closure with the floor when the screen is in its end position. If the shower screen meets any resistance as it is travelling to the required position, an integrated safety mechanism ensures that there is no danger of injury and that the glass screen is not damaged.

Modern, energy-efficient architecture also needs sophisticated blinds systems that shade rooms individually and block the sunlight in a methodical manner. On a building with a large glass front, the individual slats can be anything up to six meters in length.

The door is opened and closed with five Ketterer drives. Four drives with a special threaded spindle guarantee that the bathtub seals securely. A further Ketterer drive acts as an impulse drive, opening the door sideways via a fixed threaded spindle.
